provides users of Canon's CD-4050 and CD-4070NW Digital Document Recorders with a powerful, multi-user retrieval solution that allows viewing, cataloging, searching, printing, e-mailing and web publishing of documents stored on the Canon Document Recorder's discs.

Catalog and Search CD-4050/4070NW Discs
Mobilis can be used to build and maintain a master catalog of the archive discs, allowing all discs in the catalog to be searched collectively in a single operation. This eliminates the need to insert each disc individually until the correct document is located. Searches that span multiple discs can be performed quickly and effortlessly. The program will also search any OCR-generated text files stored on the discs, allowing highly detailed searches of document content.

Store Discs Online or Offline
Discs that have been added to a Mobilis catalog can be returned to offline shelf storage. Searches and index tree browsing can occur without the presence of the disc. When a document image is retrieved for viewing, Mobilis will prompt for the correct disc. The discs may also be stored online in an optical jukebox or copied to magnetic storage for high-speed access to frequently retrieved documents.

Publish Documents to the Internet
Documents, images and index fields on CD-4050/4070NW discs can be easily published to any standard HTTP web server for distribution over the Internet using Mobilis. The program will also interface directly to any MAPI-compliant e-mail client, allowing documents to be e-mailed quickly and easily.

Upload Documents into an EDMS
Mobilis allows document images and index fields from CD-4050/4070NW discs to be uploaded into enterprise-level Electronic Document Management Systems such as Documentum ApplicationXtender from EMC. This provides the Document Recorder's user with a migration strategy to more sophisticated document management systems when their document imaging needs exceed the capabilities of the CD-4050 or the CD-4070NW.
