IDC VS. OCR WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE
When you scan a document, Optical Character Recognition recognizes and converts each word into searchable text. OCR is excellent at reading a document, and a fantastic option when a large number of documents and images need to be converted to text.
IDC takes OCR software to the next level. Once the text is searchable, IDC technology uses that to recognize the type of document, the key metadata fields, and where to push the data once it’s processed (i.e. an ERP system, HRIS, CRM and more).
